The gallery will host visiting artists and professionals to lecture, curate exhibitions, demonstrate media and methods, and critique student work.

Visiting Artists And Professionals
The gallery will invite visiting artists to campus. Visiting artists will give lectures and/or demonstrations that are open and promoted to University faculty, staff, and students and to the community at large. The Visiting Artists will be selected by the Gallery committee in conjunction with exhibition proposals and from faculty recommendations. Artists will be chosen based on: • national reputation. • perceived benefit to Art Department students. • perceived benefit to the local community in terms of enhancing awareness of contemporary art.

2014-15 Exhibitions And Visting Artists
The Gaddis Geeslin Gallery held 2 exhibits that included the work of four professional artists in 2014-15.
5 Visiting Artists were on campus to give public lectures about their work in the Art Auditorium, meet with students for individual critiques, and give public workshops on art making.
The gallery sent press releases to local media and promoted all of the events on Social Media.

Graduating Senior Exhibition
The Gallery Committee will schedule Graduating Senior Exhibitions during finals week of Fall 2014 and Spring 2015, and a Graphic Design Senior Exhbition to be held at the end of the Spring 2015 semester. The student work will demonstrate and be used to evaluate:
• a proficiency in skills and techniques related to the medium used in the artwork. • the student's ability to produce a cohesive body of work. • the student's ability to express a concept through a work of art. • an awareness of contemporary art and its relation to art history.

In 2014-15 the Gaddis Geeslin Gallery held exhibitions of works by graduating seniors in Studio Art, Photography and Computer Animation at the end of each semester.
Graphic Design Seniors had an exhibition of their work in the Spring semester.

Juried Exhibition
The Gallery Committee will schedule the 16th annual Juried Student Exhibition for Spring 2015. A professional artist or arts professional with a national reputation will be invited to select award winning student work and to give a public lecture in conjunction with the exhibition. Every full time art student will be allowed to submit up to 3 artworks in any medium. The juror will choose artworks to be in an exhibition. Awards will be given to Best of Show, Best 2D Artwork, Best 3D Artwork, Best Animation, Best Graphic Design. The artwork will be selected based on • craftsmanship • originality • content • other criteria determined by the juror

The 16th Annual Juried Student Show was held in the Spring semester and juried by Jim Nolan, a professional artist from Houston.

In addition to exhibitions, the Student Art Association organized an Art Walk through Downtown Huntsville that connected the Satellite Gallery with local business who allowed them to create art installations in store windows. The SAA also organized an art auction of student and faculty work.

The Gallery Committee will draw on their knowledge and expertise to invite recognized artists from across the country to exhibit at the Gaddis geeslin gallery. The committee will organize exhibitions that will include artists working in Photography, sculpture, performance and video, and mixed media installations. Each exhibition will be accompanied by scheduled artists' lectures, workshops, and critiques by the visitiing artists.
The Gallery Committee will advertise the events and promote opportunities for the local and university communities to interact with the art and the artists.

Art Department Faculty will exhibit art works that are the result of their current creative research. Due to the increasing number of Art Faculty and the large scale of much of the work, the Gallery Committee decided to exhibit work by half of the faculty each year. Each faculty member will be included in the faculty exhibit every other year.
