Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

For fiscal year 2014-2015, the development team has improved our communication efforts with current alumni, donors and friends. In addition to our Prospect Management meetings that are held every two weeks with major gift officers, bi-weekly one on one meetings with the development staff and annual fund director have been strictly enforced to ensure that the focus is set on cultivation of major donors that have the capacity to give 25,000+ gifts.
In this fiscal year a prospect research staff member was added to enhance the identification of new prospects and validate data which has allowed the development staff to better utilize their time to make contacts with donors.

Plan for continuous improvement We will continue to accentuate efforts to identify constituents who are capable of annual gifts in excess of $25,000. We will promote multiple opportunities for donors to support programs and projects; additionally, we will emphasize our ability to make larger contributions through multiple gifts over time.

We will continue to focus on segmentation of constituents and strengthen appeal in respective areas of interest as well as intensify senior class and young alumni giving programs, by attending young alumni events and club events. We intend to continue with creative use of direct mail and the call center to broaden the donor base.

The Development staff will continue to learn and grow their knowledge and skill set and participate in various training opportunities that are offered and provided.

Dini Spheris, a fund raising consulting firm for non-profit organizations, has opened the door to many new prospects, specifically foundations and corporations.  Intensified focus will be on developing corporate partners and building relationships with foundations for on going support.

Solicitations will be more project based to help serve funding for university priorities.

Alumni will be utilized to help engage new prospects by hosting small cultivation events in their homes.  The referral system is very effective and will be a strong focus.
