The intention of the Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development is to publish faculty research and/or pedagogical papers.

Faculty research and/or pedagogical papers will be published in hard copy and made available on the Center website.

The Center did not publish and working papers during the fall, 2014-spring, 2015 academic year.

The Center will make a concerted effort during the 2016 academic year to get the SHSU COBA faculty to submit their working papers to the Center for publication.

Publish Journal Of Business Strategies
It is the intention of the Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development to publish two issues of the Journal of Business Strategies during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Volume 31, no. 2 and vol. 32, no. 1 were published during the 2015 academic year.

Manuscripts are continuing to be reviewed and the Center expects to publish Volume 32, Number 2 during the fall, 2015 semester and Volume 33, Number 1, during the spring, 2016 semester.

The staff of the Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development intends to publish research that measures the economic impact of various economic events and/or entities.

The staff of the Center and Dr. John Newbold of the department of Management and Marketing have been working together to determine the economic impact of musincal concerts taking place at the Woodland Pavilion.

The Center will continue to work with Dr. Newbold in the data collection and data analysis to determine the economic impact of various musical programs taking place at the Woodland Pavilion. The Center will also continue to work with the City of Huntsville to determine the economic impact of various events and new business arrivals in Huntsville.
