Objective
Research Conference
Mathematics Education instructors who attend the MERiT (Mathematics Education Research in Texas) conference will find other researchers to work with or clarify their research topics.

KPI
MERiT Conference
A post-conference evaluation will be conducted asking the participants asking them to identify collaborators or new research topics.

Result
Conference Evaluation
Responses from participants indicated satisfaction with the conference and new networking alliances were formed.

Suggestions for topics for future conferences were also requested.

Action
Future MERiT Conferences
Up until this year, attendance at the conference has been limited to faculty from smaller universities with few mathematics educators.  Attendance has gone down somewhat, due primarily to the fact that MERiT has been the impetus for other universities to form similar alliances and hold their own conferences.

For this reason, we may look into inviting doctoral students to future conferences as a way of helping them get feedback on their doctoral research.

Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement The Reeves Center is stuggled to find suitable offerings for inservice teacher workshops. In part, this is due to all of our mathematics education faculty being involved with school districts, but in an indirect way.  This needs to be re-thought.

Plan for continuous improvement One of the primary goals of the Reeves Center has been to serve as a resource for mathematics teacher educators in SHSU's primary service area.  While it is true that all of our mathematics education faculty do work with inservice teachers, little of that is done under the specific umbrella of the Reeves Center.

Members of the Reeves Center need to find better ways of documenting their contributions.
