In anticipation of more formal reviews of the degree programs found in the College of Business Administration, the department will undergo preliminary reviews of the BBA in Economics degree and the BBA in International Business degree.

Curriculum Review Progress 2013-2014
During the 2013-2014 academic year, Dr. Hiranya Nath chaired the department committee charged with the task of reviewing the curriculum. Several meetings were held and the final meeting is scheduled to be held September 5, 2014.

A final meeting is scheduled to be held September 5, 2014. At this meeting we will discuss the pros and cons of various changes to the curriculum. One of the suggested changes is to offer a B.S. degree in Economics in addition to the B.B.A. currently offerred. Various approaches to incorporating more quantitative analysis into the curriculum will also be discussed.

During the 2013-2014 academic year, the faculty worked on putting together master syllabi for all upper division economics classes.

During the Sept. 5, 2014 meeting we will discuss how to use the master syllabi to improve our assessment efforts. The idea of offerring a common final exam in the principles classes has been suggested. This idea needs further discussion.
