Procure Appropriate Resources To Facilitate The Academic Mission Of The Department

The department will monitor the classroom, laboratory, research, and out-reach (service) needs of the unit. Budget requests will reflect these needs.

Increase funds raised for scholarships.

Monies Raised Through Gala And UIL One Act Play Workshop

Netted approximately $15,000 from Gala and $2400 for UIL One Act Play Workshop.

The monies raised are insufficient to make a significant dent in scholarships available fot recruitment.

Action

Fundraising Findings

A more aggressive approach must be taken with regard to the fund raising in the future. This will include grant writing for projects as well as applications for underwriting. Additionally more active involvement must occur on the favulty level.

Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement Faculty and staff are assisting more specifically in fund raising than in the past as well as solicitation of donations.

Plan for continuous improvement More specific and expanded goals will be explored during the department retreat in August 2014. These will focus on fund raising , curriculum, assessment and growth.
