Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement This is the first year the Center for Assessment and Accreditation has submitted Goals to the OATDB, therefore, there is no previous plan for continuous improvement as indicated for this report.

Plan for continuous improvement During the 2013-2014 Cycle,  Key Performance Indicators will be targeted for continuous improvement. They are:
  • The Center for Assessment and Accreditation Website will migrate from the Contribute to the Web CMS format to provide maximum benefits of realtime, transparent information and to access SHSU information updates.
  • Data Days will use the success of the innaulgaral event accesssing Unit Assessment data to improve and enhance the effect on student/candidate outcomes.
  • SPA program reports will be submitted by seven Educator Preparation Programs. It is anticipated that 5 of the 7 programs will receive National Recognition.
  • The Unit Assessment System was chosen as the focus of continuous improvement during the upcoming NCATE visit. Therefore, the Assessment Committe will continue to improve upon the Unit Assessment System  by working to acheive targeted levels of performance for all elements of NCATE Standard II.
  • A University-wide committee will be formed to review the SHSU Educator Preparation Program and report by writing the Institutional Review (IR) as a critical componenet of the NCATE National Accreditation review based on continuous improvement.
