KPI
International Student Enrollment Comparison
International student enrollment fall '11 will be compared with fall '12 to determine enrollment increase/decrease.
Result
Recruitment Efforts
Recuriting efforts were less leading into the fall, given the retirement of the part-time OIP recruiter. Numbers still increase overall by 6 percent. This increase was partly due to the group of students that came in through the dual degree program in the College of Criminal Justice.
Action
Recruitment
We will attempt to work with Enrollment Management to train the current advising staff to take advantage of opportunities to recruit international students. We have been working within the reorganized structure of EM to streamline the processes for international student applicants and devote up to half of each of the OIP advisor’s days to answering admissions inquiries and following up on pending applications. Sending out the OIP advisors to recruit is resulting in complaints from student regarding their unavailability. We will be working with EM to resolve this dilemma and meet the recruitment targets for international students.
