Result
Introductory Training, Level I, Not Designed And Implemented
As of August 14, 2013, Level I training is still in the 'development' phase and is not ready to be distributed to employees for training.  Our goal of implementing Level I training was not met due to our inability to find sufficient time to create a comprehensive first training session.

Action
Update And Development Of Employee Training And Development
Introductory Training, Level I, will be ongoing until completion and implementation.  Due to the apparent need for the training, much more time will be scheduled for the creation, development, and implementation of Level I training.

Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement Grounds Services implemented both the landscape improvement list as well as offering a customer satisfaction survey on the Facilities Managment website.  Custodial Services did begin developing more formal training for all employees to address some deficiencies in employee development and retention.

Plan for continuous improvement Creating a prioritized list of potential landscape improvements and tracking their completion has been an effective indicator of the effectiveness and value of the Grounds Services department for several years.  Plans are to continue with the Prioritized List of Landscape Improvements for futurecycles.

Although Custodial Services did not reach the goal of creating and implementing the first new training for employees, progress is still being made to complete the first training session in FY14.  Once Level I is completed, work will begin on a Level II training session.
