Goal
Tuition Rebate Process
Better publicity to the graduating seniors concerning the tution rebate.

Objective
Linking The Tuition Rebate Form To Several Websites
Will be adding links for the tuition rebate to several different web pages to help publicize the rebate application

KPI
Number Of Tuition Rebate Apps Arriving In The Registrar's Office
By creating the links and making the rebate more accessible, we should receive more applications, earlier in the semester. The targeted goal is a 10% increase.

Result
Tuition Rebates Are Increasing
While it will take another year to have a good comparison rate I believe the applications are on the rise.  At the close of the Spring 2013 semester, we received a total of 142 tuition rebate applications. 

Action
Continued Monitoring
We will continue to record the number of tuition rebate applications to be sure that we are reaching all of the students who eligibile for the rebate.  I expect the numbers to flatten out over this next year and this will provide a base for the number of applications we should receive each term.

Goal
Banner Implementation - Ad Astra
The Ad Astra module of Banner will be used to schedule classrooms.

Objective
Ad Astra Used To Schedule Rooms
For the 2010-2011 academic year, Ad Astra will be used to schedule classrooms for course offerings.

KPI
Scheduled Classrooms Using Ad Astra Software
Ad Astra used to schedule classroom will be the indicator. Goal is to schedule the classrooms and to produce reports the departments can use to predict course need, space needs, etc. with at least 75% success initially.

Result
Ad Astra Was Not Able To Be Used In A Beta Test.
Due to issues surrounding Ad Astra, we were not able to BETA test as we had hoped.

Action
Plan To Test In The Next Academic Year (2013-2014)
Issues are being resolved and we hope to beta test with COBA during this next academic year.

Goal
Improve Communication From Registrar's Office To The Campus Community
Will develop an academic communication timeline.  This would include any dates pertinent to academic departments that relate to registration and graduation, and provide communication regarding these events to the dean's offices.

Objective
Create An Academic Communication Timeline
This timeline will include all relevent deadlines/events that are in relation to both registration and graduation.  It will be used to ensure that we are sending out all necessary reminders in a timely manner that will benefit all involved.

KPI
A More Informed Campus On Matters That Are Registrar Related That Affect Their Areas As Well.
The plan will allow all key parties that any process change, update, crisis, etc that occurs within the Registrar that could potentially have an affect in other areas be prepared and know what to expect.

Create A Flow For Important Communication And To Whom It Should Reach
Key players have been identified and the first piece of communication is expected to be distributed in mid-September 2013.



Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement This has been a much better year.  Tuition rebates has been moved to another staff member and tracking and communication for tuition rebates has a new plan that will hopefully increase the applications.  Although we were prepared to implement a beta group for Ad Astra we began to experience issues with the software itself.  These issues are in the process of being resolved an we are hoping to move forward with beta testing in the COBA this next academic year.  We are moving on to great things with Banner.  We are looking forward to allowing fine grain access for several depts.  This will allow them to handle their own registration for special co-horts resulting a little of the manual work going back out to campus.  We are very excited to start exploring the bells and whistles that will make further improvements within the student module.
