Goal
Effective New Student Orientation Program

Objective
Student Preparedness
Students attending New Student Orientation will become knowledgeable of the resources available to support them in their academic endeavors.

KPI
Orientation Evaluation
Incoming freshmen complete the evaluation after New Student Orientation. The goal is to score three or better on a five-point scale related to resource availability.  Another goal was to have a better return rate for parent response.

Result
Return Rate Success
We were very pleased with the results.  Not only were we rated three or better, the parent response return was higher.  Using StudentVoice and e-mails instead of paper copies made a big difference.

Objective Retired
We have the tele-recruitment under control; thus, this objective will be retired.

Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

Plan for continuous improvement We are consistently meeting criteria on three of our objectives.  We will be retiring the areas of tele-recruitment, comprehensive training for the orientation team, and preparing students for college.  Although retiring these objectives, we will still track our success in these areas.  We will retain the objective regarding satisfaction and include family with the student evaluation.
