A survey will be developed and administered to the members of the SHSU community to exam the effectiveness of the intervention and satisfaction of those who utilize this process. As a result of utilizing the SOC Team 90 percent of responders will indicate satisfaction with process effectiveness as well as the SOC Team's positively impacting the situation of concern.

We will effectively answer questions or direct parents and family members to the correct resource: 1) Maintain an updated website with clear directions and navigation capability; 2) List a FAQ section on website; and 3) Provide links for offices that parents are most concerned about.
We will answer direct phone calls, emails, and set parent appointments. Market a brochure to parents and campus community of our services. We will provide monthly newsletters to parents.
Provide a weekend of activities for parents and family members of SHSU students to participate in every fall semester.

A survey will be developed and administered to parents to examine the effectiveness of the parent relations office and its services.
As a result of effectively assisting parents and providing opportunities for parents to connect to the university 80 percent of responders will indicate satisfaction with the parent relations office and its services.

Parent Survey Results
In a survey given to parents and families for parent/family weekend 90% of participants indicated they were satisfied with the programs and services the Parent Relations Office offers. Parent phone calls increased from a total of 19 for the fall semester to a total of 44 in the spring semester, which is a 43% increase. Our newsletter sign-up also increased from 640 participants to 828, which is a 77% increase from fall to spring. After executing all objectives we found that the Parent Relations Office and it services have reached its goals for the 2011-2012 year.

Greek Life Public Relations
Positive Greek Life public relations through collaborations
Objective
Planned Collaborations
We will collaborate with the athletics department to get more Greek students to support the athletic teams. Also we would like to have contests at athletic games as an incentive for Greeks to attend games.
We will collaborate with the university police department to cover proper risk management practices for Greeks on and off campus. We also want the Greeks to take advantage of the services UPD offers students and student groups.
We will collaborate with various student groups and other departments for causes that benefit all parties involved.

Greek Life Public Relations Survey
A survey will be conducted with non-Greek SHSU students to find out if they feel the efforts the office and Greek students have made to collaborate are recognized and yield a positive image of Greek Life.
At least 50% of those who take the survey will be knowledgeable of collaborative efforts/events and will have a positive view of Greek Life

Of the students who were surveyed, 66% of them were knowledgeable of the collaborative efforts/events Greek Life does and had positive views of the Greek Life program.
