In conjunction with the department of Economics and Business Analysis the Center will hold at least six research forums with an average attendance of ten faculty.

Share Research With External And Internal Constituencies
The Center was only able to participate with the Economics and International Business Department in two seminars because of limited budgets. The average attendance in each of the two seminars was 15 faculty members from various departments across campus.

The Center will be working with the department of Economics and International Business during the fall 2011 and spring 2012 semesters to increase the number of seminars for faculty to be a part of.

Promote Faculty Expertise
At least five COBA faculty authored papers focusing on either research or instructional development issues will be published in hard copy and listed on the CBER website.

The staff of the Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development intends to publish research that measures the economic impact of various economic events and/or entities.

RIMS II Multipliers
The Center for Business and Economic Development will use RIMS II multipliers acquired from the Bureau of Economic Analysis to measure the economic impact of economic activities or events.

An economic impact study was performed for the Crown Point Regional Center in The Woodlands area just south of Conroe, Texas.

IMPLAN Economic Multipliers
The Center for Business and Economic Analysis will acquire the IMPLAN software and data used to calculate the economic impact of activities and events.

Implan Economic Multipliers
The Implan Economic multipliers were acquired for Walker County Texas. We are learning how to use the multipliers so they can be used to measure the economic impact of new economic and existing economic activities in Walker County.

The Center for Business and Economic Analysis will perform at least one economic impact study during the 10 - 11 academic year.

Economic Impact Studies
The Center for Business and Economic Development completed an economic impact study, using the RIMS II methodology, for a proposed regional center known as the Crown Point Regional Center. The impact study focused primarily on the economic impact of two new office complexes, a new hotel and restaurant and two new retail centers.

The Center will look for new opportunities to use the RIMS II and Implan models to measure the economic impact of various economic events and industries in the region.
