The ongoing progression of the Beto Collection re-organization has resulted in following archival processing: 85% of materials have been evaluated resulting in the disposal of multiple copies and materials that fall under specific State records retention disposal periods, assigning of finding aids based on the scope of the collection, new series order and a detailed computer file inventory. Information was gathered from various sources in an attempt to identify the subjects and events in the photographic collection with limited success. Over half of the photographs are still unidentified. Proper archival supplies have been ordered to process the collection for future research. The number of items and the limited number of trained personnel make this a multi-year project.
