On the TExES for Educational Diagnosticians 4/4 test-takers passed their exam. The mean total score for SHSU candidates on this exam was 262. The state mean for test-takers on this exam was 253.

Actions For Mastery Of Knowledge And Skills
Since 100% of students taking the TExES passed, it is reasonable to raise the criterion to 85% or higher. A new practice examination will need to be developed to prepare students for the rigors of a new TExES exam.

Since 100% of students taking comprehensive exams scored 70% or better, it is reasonable to increase the passing percentage to 75% or higher. CEC knowledge and skills need to be examined to ensure they are integrated into coursework.
