In conjunction with the various departments in the College of Business hold at least six research forums with an average attendance of ten faculty.

Research Forums
The Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development held more than six seminars in conjunction with the Department of Economics and International Business. These were not published on the Center website. Hopefully, that can be corrected in the future. The average attendance was more than 10.

The Center will continue to work with various departments in the College of Business to create and publicize research seminars.

Faculty research and/or pedagogical papers will be published in hard copy and cited by title and abstract on the Center website.

Working Paper Submissions
At least five COBA faculty authored papers focusing on either research or instructional development issues will be published in hard copy and listed on the CBER website.

The Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development published six faculty Working Papers during the 08-09 academic year. These have not been added to the Center Website.

Two issues of the Journal will be published per year.

Two Issues of the Journal of Business Strategies was published in the 08-09 academic year. During the fall, 2008 the 25th anniversary issue was published. During the spring, 2009, vol 26-1, a special issue on Migration and Remittances was published.

The 25th Anniversary issue of the Journal of Business Strategies was issued with a totally new cover design and a new format for all the articles. The design is more professional looking and readers have indicated how much more appealing it looks.

A beta version of a new on-line submission and review process will be created and tested to improve the submission and review process for future issues of the JBS.

A beta version of an on-line submission and review process for the Journal of Business Strategies was created with the help of Computer Services. Several problems were encountered and are trying to be corrected before the on-line submission process is implimented.

Plan for continuous improvement Further data needs to be collected to determine the acceptance rate for the Journal of Business Strategies. Further efforts will be made to try to get the Journal of Business Strategies indexed by Econ Lit. All other goals for this year for the JBS have been accomplished.
