Courses Structured To Develop Student's Creative Capacities In Visual Arts And Design.
Curriculum structured to develop and enhance student's creative skills and judgments in both visual arts and design in preparation for placement into a practicing photographic environment or graduate level research.

Review Courses For Problem-Solving Development
Were proposals made to revise the existing curriculum toward the objective of increasing the creative abilities of our BFA students?

Studio Classes
Photography courses previously designated as lecture courses (meeting 3 hours per week) have been re-designated as studio courses (meeting 6 hours per week) to better fit the needs of a BFA program.

Action
Monitor Curriculum Documents
Monitor the progress of curriculum change documents as they move through the process of review and approval.

Students Understand Principles Fundamental To Visual Arts And Photography.
Require beginning students participation in the W.A.S.H. program.

W.A.S.H. Program
Students will complete the W.A.S.H. Program.

Criterion
Implementation Of W.A.S.H Program.
Students will complete the W.A.S.H. program and be assessed in the BFA review.

Action
Evaluate Students After WASH
The WASH program is in it's first year of implementation. Students doing the BFA Portfolio review for admission into the BFA in Photography program have not gone through the new WASH program. The first WASH students will go through the BFA review at the end of next year. At this time the effects of WASH on photography student learning outcomes will be evaluated.

Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

Plan for continuous improvement The BFA in Photography will be benefited by the implementation of the WASH program. This will be assessed at the end of next year. The Photography curriculum is being revised to become a professional studio program.
