Students will demonstrate knowledge and skills in Instructional Leadership course content by passing the Comprehensive Examination at an 80% or higher pass rate. All course content is aligned to Educational Leadership Constituent Consortium (ELCC) Standards. These Standards are (1) Development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a school or distric vision, (2) promote positive culture, provide effective instructional programs,apply best practices for student learning, and promotes professional development; (3)manage the organization, manage operations,and manage resources; (4) collaborate with stakeholders; respond to community interest and needs, Mobilize community resources; (5)acts fairly and with integrity; (6)understand, respond to, and influence the larger context; (7)students complete a substantial, sustained, standard-based, real time, guided field based activities (practicum) for which they earn graduate credit.

Students will demonstrate knowledge and skills aligned to ELCC standards by completing internship activities in each of the core courses (e.g., Instructional leadership I and II, Curriculum Planning, Research Methods, Special Program and Special Populations, Psychology of Learning, and Supervision Practicum).

Upon completion of the Supervision Practicum, students will submit a portfolio that contains all of the internship activities with a reflection on how the activities have helped them develop skill.

One hundred percent of the candidates for the Master's degree in Instructional leadership will complete ELCC aligned internship activities.

Faculty will be provided the latest information on the internship activities students must complete, and students' internship activities will be monitored via the portfolio. The faculty and instructional leadership program coordinator will also study instructional leadership/supervision standards to assure internship alignment so students do develop the skill and knowledge necessary.
