Students will give oral presentation during the Commercial Banking course.

Criterion
Oral Evaluation
At least 80% of sampled students must meet expectations on the oral presentation rubrics.

Finding
Commercial Banking Oral/Written Post-Test
The students were given an end of course case study based on the course core objectives. They were required to provide a written report and also to make an oral presentation summarizing the case. The evaluation was performed by bankers familiar with the subject matter and the professor teaching the course. Each had a grading criteria that was completed and compiled. Eighty percent of the students that completed the oral and written report met the expectations on the grading rubric.

The Banking BBA program will review the grading rubric to ensure that it includes all relevant and essential subject matter.

Banking BBA graduates will correctly apply financial models used in solving quantitative problems in banking

Banking BBA graduates will have answered a series of qualitative and quantitative questions which are appropriate for the undergraduate student over the core areas of banking

Criterion
Banking: Improvement On Post-Test Scores
The class average on individual exam questions will be 70% correct. The embedded questions were selected based on the core objectives of the course.

Finding
Banking Quantitative And Qualitative Embedded Questions
Students took an exam comprised on core qualitative and quantitative concepts related to the Banking course. The students achieved scores above the desired 70% average for the course.

Action
Commercial Lending Course Improvements
We are evaluating software that would allow an interactive learning approach in this course. An interactive approach will assist the student in applying and understanding qualitative and quantitative concepts taught in this course.


Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

Plan for continuous improvement Based on the post-test scores, changes to the way the course is taught is being evaluated. The purchase of software that enables the student to apply the material that is taught during the course is being contemplated.
