Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

Plan for continuous improvement All Dean of Students staff members met or exceeded the staff development goal of attending at least one professional development seminar during the academic year.

The Students of Concern (SOC) Team was an innovative program that was developed to attempt to proactively address inappropriate student behavior on the SHSU campus. Six professionals from five high hands on student contact areas were identified and nominated to serve on the committee. They were each approved to serve by the Vice President for Student Services. Specific actions and interventions were taken and recorded for each individual student.

The Spiritual Leadership Program will begin during spring semester 2010. A feasibility survey will be developed and implemented fall semester 2009. Results and data from this survey as well as any data from applicable national surveys will help guide the administrator in program development and request for additional funding.
