Bar Graph Comparisons Of SHSU College Enrollments At TUC
In the semester of Fall 2004, the new College of Humanities and Social Sciences was formed. The College of Arts & Sciences along with the College of Education allocated some of their majors to the new college. This allocation appears to have had an impact on several of the colleges duplicated enrollments. For example, when looking at the bar graph for the Fall semesters from 2004-2008, one is able to see a yo-yo effect of increases and decreases. As far as the Spring 2005-2009 bar graph, one is able to see increases in the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, and Humanities & Social Sciences. In addition, one is able to observe decreases or a yo-yo effect in the areas of Criminal Justice and Education. The Summer 2009 college enrollments continue to illustrate the commitment from the colleges. Their enrollments continue to increase or be close in comparison to last years numbers, but when looking at the past four years for comparison, we still observe a mixture of increases and decreases. The College of Business is the only one who is able to demonstrate a continous increase over the past four years.
