Update to previous cycle's plan for continuous improvement

Plan for continuous improvement The department needs to grow the assessment process and make clear assignments of responsibility for that growth. The department needs to place the responsibility for tactical resource planning in the hands of the faculty rather than the department chair. Currently resource allocation is good and the faculty are generally satisfied with the resources they have at their disposal. however, they need to be involved in the decision making process.
The commitment to departmentally oriented advisement must be carried through and advisees assigned to faculty. Reporting of advising activity needs to be established.
The department chair needs to maintain pressure on the dean's office to tie funding to the department's strategic plan.
