Last year, there were 42 Spanish majors and 42 minors. This year, there were 50 Spanish majors and 53 minors. This is an increase of 16% for the majors and 21% for the minors.

8 students passed and 2 student failed for a 80% pass rate of 70% or higher in all of the domains, except 2 students who did not achieve a 70% on at least one domain but passed the exam. The students that failed passed 1 or 2 of the 5 domains, domain areas regarding vocabulary and usage and language and culture.

Although we matched our target, this test will be slowly phased out by the state, so we will be changing to the OPI exam, which is accepted by ACTFL.
