ELI Enrollment
Provide resources and support to promote increase in enrollment.

Objective
Increasing Publicity
Through the development of a website, brochure and other forms of advertising, the ELI will increase awareness of its presence in the international market for ESL/EFL programs.

Applications
Students indicate their interest in the ELI by submitting their applications.

Increase enrollment in the program through recruitment.

Finding
Increased Enrollment in ELI Program
The Summer 2007 semester had 19 enrolled ELI students. Summer semester 2008 had 23 enrolled students.

Enrollment
Continue to publicize the ELI program through recruitment.

Enhance Academic Quality
Create an environment conducive to academic success. Develop new and improve existing ELI courses to help students integrate into academic programs.

Objective
Measurement Of Students' Success
Success may be measured by the students' academic performance.

Indicator
TOEFL Scores
Scores from the TOEFL taken by students several times a year.

Criterion
Score improvement
After completion of a semester in the advanced level course, students will be able to achieve a TOEFL score sufficient for admission to their chosen academic program.

Finding
Admission into Academic Programs
During the 07-08 academic year, 3 ELI students were admitted into undergraduate programs and 2 students admitted into Graduate Studies.

Action
Student Enrollment
Increase the number of ELI students who obtain an acceptable score for admission to university or collegiate study.
