Goal
Students Will Pass The NCE (LPC) And LMFT Exams At 90% Level
Graduates of the program take the National Counselor Examination (NCE) if they are seeking licensure from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. They take the National Marriage and Family Therapy examination is they are seeking licensure from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists. Currently, SHSU Counseling Program graduates are passing the NCE at the 100% rate. Current SHSU Counseling Program graduates are passing the National Mariage and Family Therapy Examination at the 90% rate.
