The Department Will Continue To Maintain A Tutoring Lab For Mathematics And Statistics.
Tutoring will be provided for students taking mathematics or statistics courses at SHSU.

Tutoring provided
During the 2007-2008 academic year, an average of 10.71 students per day received tutoring. The center was open for 116 days and tutored 1,242 students.
Action
Increased access
During the summer of 2007, the department held limited tutoring hours and had an average of 6.9 students per day receive tutoring. We are doing a similar trial this summer.
In addition, the Department has been told a center for Developmental Mathematics will be created. We expect the tutoring center will become part of it.
