Goal
Increase Enrollment.
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences will increase enrollment in the BA in Food Service Management Program. We will hire a webmaster to set up an attractive page for the program and do further work toward changing the name and tweaking the focus of the program to Hospitality Administration.

Increase numbers of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Food Service Management at Sam Houston State University.

Increase enrollment.
An increase in enrollment in number of majors and graduates in the BA program in Food Service Management will indicate that this criterion has been met.
Finding
Increase enrollment.
For the 2006-2007 academic year, there were three majors in the BA in Food Service Management program. (This program is a "free ride" meaning that no specific courses, faculty, or facilities are required to maintain this program.) For the 2005-2006 academic year, only 2 majors were enrolled in the BA program for Food Service Management.
Action
Marketing efforts
Continue with recruiting efforts including hiring a student worker to enhance the quality of the website and work with articulation agreements for the community colleges so that they are current and helpful.
