Scholarly Support
Provide sufficient funds to support graduate faculty to present their research at a minimum of one professional conference (state, regional, national/international).

Faculty Publications/Presentations
The three full-time graduate Health faculty exceeded the target. Each faculty had at least one publication and more than two professional conference presentations.

Faculty Teaching Evaluations
The three full-time graduate Health faculty scored at or above the national average on the IDEA Evaluation Instrument.

Faculty Teaching Evaluations
Continue support and provide resources for faculty to sustain their teaching effectiveness. Data will be used for annual FES, promotion/tenure, and merit consideration.

Continue to support faculty publication/presentations efforts. Continue to allocate funds to support faculty travel to present their research at professional conferences. Data will be used for annual FES, promotion/tenure, and merit consideration.

Health graduate students will demonstrate competence in applying research methodologies; qualitative and quantitive analysis; literature review; and use of traditional and digital resources.

Research Presentations
Health graduate students will develop their skills in research, analysis, writing, and communication in research presentations.

Criterion
Student Research Projects
All health graduate students will achieve a grade of A or B on a research project based on a problem related to the field of health.

Finding
Student Research Projects
During the 2006-2007 academic year, 18 students enrolled HED 574, Research Seminar, developed a proposal for a research project. 60% of the students received a grade of A and 40% of the students received a grade of B.

Continue to monitor students success of successfully conducting research and make necessary adjustments as needed.

Instructional Effectiveness
Health graduate students will name the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the graduate comprehensive examination required of all students who earn the MED in health.

Health graduate students will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the graduate comprehensive examination required of all students who earn the MED in health.

Comprehensive Exam
Students will successfully pass the comprehensive exam.

Comprehensive Exam
Students will pass all areas of the exam.

Comprehensive Exam
Continue to monitor the success of students passing the comprehensive exam and make modifications as needed.
