Increase students' overall satisfaction with the Instructional Leadership Program.

Enrollment will increase at least 3% each year.

Enrollment numbers
Enrollment numbers for fall 2005 are compared to enrollment numbers for 2006-2007.

Action
Increase Student Enrollement
Continue to advertise and recruit candidates at conferences, school districts, and print media.

Objective
Increase Program Visibility
Increase the overall visibility of the Instructional Leadership program through written publications, verbal presentations and electronic media.

Number of presentations made and publications distritubted regarding the Instructional Leadership program will increase.

Criterion
Increased Information Access
Increase the number of "hits" on the website by 25%. In addtion, increase the number of Instructional Leadership promotional materials developed and distributed by 25%.

Finding
Visibility
Since no 2006 data on website hits were available, the findings indicate that there is a need to track this data, along with continual updating of the website.

In addition, newly designed brochures for specific Instructional Leadership program areas (i.e. Instructional Technology, Bilingual Leadership, academic advisement, higher education, gifted education). In 2006, only 2 different program publications were available: MA 30 hrs and M.Ed 36 hrs.

The number of districts in which promotional materials were distributed increased from 2006-Spring 2007.

Informal interviews with faculty members indicated that the number of conferences at which promotional materials were shared increased by three.


Action
Visibility
Beginning Spring 2007, major efforts to add linkages, redesign format and update information on the website have taken place. One faculty member has been assigned to monitor the website. A computer science student assistant is now assigned to work with the faculty member to make changes. We began to monitor the usage of the website by collecting hit number information. A committee has been formed to monitor and increase the visibility of the Instructional Leadership program.

Syllabi of leadership courses will be aligned with content and skills specific to teacher leadership as indicated in the ELCC Standards.

Syllabi Analysis
Every syllabi for core leadership courses contains a list of ELCC standards that are aligned to the course content.

Syllabi Assessment
Finding #1 100 percent (6 out of 6) of the six core leadership courses from Spring 2006 to Fall 2006 had a representative syllabus fully aligned with the ELCC Standards. In addition, twenty different syllabi for six courses were analyzed for alignment with the ELCC Standards. Of these 35% (7 out of 20) were fully aligned to the ELCC Standards.

Action
Monitoring Syllabi
A committee will identify the fully aligned to ELCC Standards "Master" Syllabus for each core leadership course. The Master Syllabus will be made available to all Instructional Leadership facutly. Periodically, each Master Syllabi will be monitored for content alignment.

Embedded internship activities for each core course will be aligned to ELCC Standards

Embedded Activity Analysis
One hundred percent of the core leadership syllabi will include the ELCC aligned internship embedded activities.

Finding
Embedded Activities
Embedded internship activities for each course Master Syllabi (See Syllabi Alignment are correlated with ELCC Standards and are included in the leadership portfolio as outlined in the Instrucrtional Leadership Practicum Handbook (Capstone Course).
